Housing & Zoning
Judith Krumbein, Chair
Our Housing and Zoning Committee ensures high housing standards and City code compliance through vigilant monitoring and prompt action. We work to maintain a safe, aesthetically pleasing environment, and collaborate with the Vacants Committee at Comprehensive Housing Assistance Inc (CHAI) to revitalize our community. Join us in creating a vibrant, welcoming neighborhood for all!

Crime & Safety
Chedva Rose, Chair
Our committee is dedicated to enhancing community safety through resident education and vigilance. We organize an annual Crime & Safety Fair at the February meeting of GNIA and maintain a strong collaborative relationship with the Baltimore Police Department Northwestern District.

Sanitation
Maxine Webb, Chair
We focus on keeping the community informed about City policies regarding trash and recycling, advocating for improvements as needed. Our committee also coordinates volunteer groups to promote litter awareness and participate in cleanup efforts.

Greening & Ecology
Betty Cherniak, Chair
Educating the community about the importance of greening and ecology. Our goal is to increase recycling, composting, and tree canopy throughout our neighborhoods.

Transportation

Our committee keeps the community informed about the latest developments in public transportation and actively advocates for necessary improvements with the City to ensure efficient and accessible transportation options for residents.

Education
Ronald McCallum, Chair
Our goal is to keep the community informed about any changes or needs in public education, including school closures, renovations, and reconstructions, to support an informed and engaged community.

Hospitality
Joyce Sanders and Arlene Block, Co-chairs
We provide essential support at meetings and special events by assisting with attendee registration, procuring and arranging refreshments, to enhance the overall experience for participants.

Marketing
Grace Hockley, Chair
Our committee is responsible for maintaining our website, creating and distributing flyers for meetings and events, managing membership databases, and promoting community awareness of GNIA and our activities to encourage participation and engagement.

Bylaws
Mark Hart, Chair
We ensure the maintenance of up-to-date bylaws and possess in-depth knowledge to provide definitive answers to any queries regarding bylaw details. Our committee also recommends any necessary changes to the bylaws to uphold the integrity and effectiveness of GNIA's governance.
